Crab Dinner Plate, Delft Rim

One crab seen from directly above, claws spread, filling most of the well. The shell is laid on in broad red-orange strokes that you can still read as brushwork rather than as flat colour, and the legs are drawn in one line each.

The rim is a close run of delft blue dashes, tight enough to read as a band from across the room.
