This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Ferzalon collects when you visit or buy from ferzalon.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. Ferzalon is a trading name of ULIKE E-COMMERCE CO., LIMITED, Unit 903, 9/F, Cameron Commercial Centre, 458–468 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong SAR ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, delivery and billing address, and the contents of any message you send us. If you create an account, the username and password you choose.
Payment information. Card details are entered into fields served and processed by our payment providers, not by us. We never receive or store your full card number. What we hold is the authorisation result, the card type and the last four digits, which is what lets us match a payment to an order and process a refund.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we receive your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you viewed, the site or advertisement that referred you, and timestamps. This arrives through cookies and similar technologies.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for and do not want your government identification numbers, your date of birth, or any health information. Please do not send them to us.
Why we use it
- To take payment, fulfil your order and deliver it to you
- To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and tracking information
- To answer your questions and handle returns, replacements and refunds
- To screen orders for fraud and to protect the security of the site
- To understand which pages and products people use, so we can improve them
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations
- To send marketing email, but only if you have asked us to
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the parties who need it to do the job, and only the part of it they need:
- Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf
- Payment providers, who process your card payment
- Carriers and fulfilment partners, who receive the delivery address and your name to get the parcel to you
- Analytics providers, who receive usage data about the site
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are required by law to disclose information or need to establish or defend a legal claim
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers to let them build profiles of you.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use ones that are necessary to make the site work — keeping your cart, keeping you signed in, securing checkout — and, where you allow it, ones that help us measure how the site is used. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the necessary ones cannot be switched off without breaking checkout.
Marketing email
We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Unsubscribing does not stop the transactional emails about an order you have already placed, because those are part of the contract.
International transfers
We operate from Hong Kong and our service providers operate in a number of countries, so your information may be transferred outside the place where you live. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections with those providers.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Customer service correspondence is kept for two years. Analytics data is kept in aggregate. Marketing consent records are kept until you withdraw consent and for a short period afterwards to prove the withdrawal was honoured. Account data is deleted on request unless we must keep part of it for the reasons above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to receive it in a portable form. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of them, email info@ferzalon.com. We reply within one business day and complete the request within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, which we will normally do by confirming details of an order you placed.
Children
This store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over TLS throughout, payment data is handled by PCI DSS compliant providers, and access to order records inside our business is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but not holding card numbers at all removes the most damaging thing we could lose.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change is significant we will say so on the site.
