Two words across the middle of the plate in big cobalt brush script, with an olive sprig painted underneath and a single fine blue line round the edge. The lettering is painted freehand, so the strokes thin out where the brush lifted and the second word sits slightly wider than the first.
It is the plate that ends up under the bread, and the one people read upside down from the other side of the table.
